Why is PbO more stable than PbO2?
Please sir why does the hallogens have increase in intermolecular forces down the group instead
Halogens exist as non polar diatomic molecules, so the only intermolecular force holding these molecules together is the van der waals dispersion forces. Down the group, there is increase in number of electrons available to create temporal dipoles that are required for these van der waals forces. Consequently there is an increase in the number of forces created per mole thus increasing the strength of the forces down the group.
whats radioactivity please
Radioactivity is the random (uncontrolled) decay (or disintegration) of heavy unstable nuclei to smaller and more stable nuclei by the emission of radiation.
If we remove the the oxygen atoms and link with a double bond.
I think we should have D and not C.(chem 2018 number 12)
Question 9.
please i don't understand question 24 june 2019 P1
